Perhaps more interesting, assuming you have a hard drive as well, is to put
auxiliary ZFS data on the flash drive.  See

for some info.  Putting the ZIL on there as well also seems to be
interesting for laptop users, since that means you could go a long time
without touching the hard drive, letting it stay spun down for longer than
it can now.  Laptop manufacturers are already starting to put solid-state
drives in some of their high-end models.  32G for a $600-$700 premium seems
to be the going rate right now.
