Hello,
I am new to Solaris, installing finally went fine with Solaris Express 10/06,
but when it
came to installing the freeware from SUNs site it failed since /var ran out of
space.
I used the automatic partition scheme by the installer, which seems to have
strange
defaults (160 GB HD):
$ df -h
Filesystem size used avail capacity Mounted on
/dev/dsk/c1d0s0 4.0G 3.9G 84M 98% /
/devices 0K 0K 0K 0% /devices
/dev 0K 0K 0K 0% /dev
ctfs 0K 0K 0K 0% /system/contract
proc 0K 0K 0K 0% /proc
mnttab 0K 0K 0K 0% /etc/mnttab
swap 1.7G 732K 1.7G 1% /etc/svc/volatile
objfs 0K 0K 0K 0% /system/object
/usr/lib/libc/libc_hwcap1.so.1
4.0G 3.9G 84M 98% /lib/libc.so.1
fd 0K 0K 0K 0% /dev/fd
swap 1.7G 616K 1.7G 1% /tmp
swap 1.7G 28K 1.7G 1% /var/run
/dev/dsk/c1d0s7 142G 492M 140G 1% /export/home
/export/home/lf 142G 492M 140G 1% /home/lf
Guess I will just reinstall everythng, but can someone please hint me
to a better partition scheme? It is a one-user workstation, so a minmal
one would do.
Thanks,
Lars
