Agreed. My response to the entire thread about pkgadd performance is that, yes, it's a problem. And since the sources are open now, the members of this community have the opportunity to contribute to improving it! I think there are a number of creative ideas, ideally people would prototype a few and we can have a runoff and merge to get the results we'd all like. Dave
