Global only packages is suppose to be limited number of kernel packages which shared with local zones over kernel running in the memory. They are already on all local zones just because all local zone have same kernel and all isolation is implemented as set of filters inside kernel - local zone processes just isolated to not to see other zones processes and resourses.
Why do you need to install this packages if you are actually removing files? Also removing files from local zones will not take effect on ability of system to operate, because kernel use files from global zone anyway. Zones are not domains. Thanks, Vassili. This message posted from opensolaris.org
