Well, this is not a point. Idea is that there is pretty good mechanism, pretty good understanding of the problem, years of experience in real use for enterprise customers and by enterprise customers and most important new highly optimized C-code, but for some reason I continue to hear - "Lets do same as in Linux". And I guess main reason why it is questioned - because it is hard to understand all change delivery mathematics we have behind patching. Like let make it simple... After all we can reinstall OS any time we need bug fixed...
Linux is fairly behind in services for corporate market. As well as Solaris is behind Linux in the bedroom computer market IMHO. vassun This message posted from opensolaris.org
