No, that's not why it is so high. The Studio installer does use Java, but by the time we need it we can get it from the disk. Java is an issue in the memory requirements for the current installer. We are using C and the Gnome toolkit for the Dwarf GUI. However, that doesn't automatically remove the need for Java. There are other issues we are trying to work through on this. thanks, sarah
