This message certainly seems like the DVD isn't quite right.

I'd start out by downloading and running the installation check tool:

http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/hcts/install_check.html

To look into the "no disks found" issue, start with looking at what's in 
/dev/rdsk when the installation is booted.
