Sloppy wording on my part :-) By "outdated" I meant on new/current consumer/developer laptops/desktops, where disk space seems plentiful. Even as a hoarder of disk space I'm not going to blink over the loss of several hundred meg. Probably more is spent on various bundled apps or frameworks or pretty backdrops that I never use... or a couple videos I've downloaded and haven't bothered to discard yet. This certainly isn't the same usage case as many folks have using Solaris. david
