The term "installation" is often used to mean either an initial 
installation or an upgrade; as the underlying behavior can be quite 
different between the two, I was attempting to use the terms as 
precisely as possible so as to be clear for which case a specific 
requirement (for example) applies.  But I may well have over-used it to 
some extent, and I'll re-examine that issue as I'm folding in the 
comments received.

At least I didn't use "custom Jumpstart", which I agree is redundant ;-)
