Thanks for your recommendations. They all sound fine to me. If there are no other comments, I'll proceed with what was last stated
plus your recommendations, supporting only additional name service combinations LDAP+DNS and NIS+DNS and using standard name service
source configurations (nsswitch.conf, svc:network/name-service/switch) instead of explicitly prompting the user for them.
