I think Miyakawa-san meant "up to 500", and he was referring to AJAX connections used in applications such as google maps.
I would like to see some evidence for this. Google Maps only generates some 20 sessions for me.
Note that 500 ports per subscriber means only 125 subscribers per IPv4 address, which means that we can't really afford endpoint independent mappings without limitations. We've had a short discussion on limiting endpoint independence to exclude stuff like HTTP in behave, but we haven't arrived at a useful conclusion yet.
