Folks,
Do we need to explore this particular rabbit hole before progressing the draft?
Please recall the following:
- Nobody has proposed deprecation of fragmentation functionality. In fact, we
took that off the table on Page 1.
- Without passing any judgement, we said that some applications fragment not so
much to overcome MTU issues, but to improve performance. We also offered a
*modern* example (Licklider Transport Protocol).
I am wondering why were are expending so many calories arguing about whether
additional examples are required. We only need one example to make the point.
We don't need twelve.
