One of the key things I take away from RFC 3935 (the IETF Mission
Statement) is that the IETF engages when it believes it can do a good
job of designing a solution.


That's a stronger requirement than we engage when we believe we can
make less of a mess than someone else.

So, at least to sell me on the proposal, you need to show me that that
we're actually going to make things net better, not that we'll make
them less net bad that someone else.

Just giving you my evaluation criteria as someone who may be in a
position to evaluate a charter in this space.
