You and me may find it a good idea. But networks on the tail end of the clue curve will not think so: don't enable it, you don't really have a problem, enable it incorrectly and you break your network. This is really a no-brainer.

Any "solution" that requires 99% of the internet to do something that is beneficial to you is a non-starter.

Now if this proposed wg can find a way for me to recognized spoofed packets when they enter my networks without cooperation from the source and intermediate networks, I'm all ears.
