SAVA is not just one thing. Its a framework for a number of different
issues within the source address spoofing space. Things that you
need to do in the local link. Things that you need to do in an AS.
Ideas about ways to do things in the global Internet.

The part that Fred is interested in relates to the local link operation.
What should the router do to verify the validity of the source address
in a packet sent to it? It can verify that its within the configured
subnet, but can it do more?

There are a few different ideas in the SAVA space about the local
link operation. I don't think we have the final answer, though.
This is why Fred is trying to figure out if SEND would help his
problem.
