In our environment, InterMapper monitors lots of devices, with responsibilities spanning several departments. Whenever we hear an audible alarm, we all check InterMapper to see what device is having issues.
It would be helpful if we could assign distinctive audible alarm sounds to individual devices. For example, a router outage would have a different audible alarm than a server outage, which would be different than a wireless bridge, etc. This would give us an idea of what type of device was affected before we even look at InterMapper, and we could ignore it if was a another department's responsibility. Any chance we can get this in a future InterMapper release?
