[IM-Talk] edting name in interface description

Is there anyway to edit the name or description in the SNMP interface
description? For instance, i'd rather have the name like "oc3 to
somewhere" as oppsed to POS 1/0/1 show up in the alarms that IM
generates (note that i'm monitoring SNMP interface status here - i'm
not pinging the remote end).
