First off, I'll apologize ahead of time if something like this has been
asked before.

I have several graphs that are recording bandwidth on our WAN links.
Typically, I'm polling those routers every 30 - 60 seconds (depending on
criticality). When looking at those graphs with a scale of up to about
10 minutes, the graphs are easy to read. However, viewing the graphs
with a time scale of 1-24 hours and even into the daily and higher
scales, the graphs get very dense because of the 30-second polling
period.

Is it feasible to have Intermapper automatically average (or some other
appropriately weighted calculation) the data in relationship to the
timescale being viewed? For example, viewing a 1-hour-scaled map, it
would be helpful if the data were displayed as a 10 or 15 minute average
of the data. So on and so forth for viewing even larger scales of time.

This would allow us to gain long-term bandwidth averages graphically. I
suppose that I could put the same device in a different map and only
poll every 5 minutes or something like that, but taking a snap-shot of
current bandwidth usage every 5 minutes would probably not be indicative
of actual long-term usage for non-ISP traffic. Additionally, that would
require using another device seat for the same device.

Thanks for the ear.
