How's the work on all the wishlist suggestions coming?

It's been almost a year since the group came up with our wish lists. Is there some sort of road map showing what's in the pipe feature-wise in upcoming versions?

Here's my list, in no particular order:

1 - Interface level custom probes. Ie. the ability to write a custom probe that shows information based on ifIndex - without having to hard-code the ifIndex.

2 - Some sort of scriptable way to interact with the maps. The new import/export features are a start. Maybe just adding the ability to pull the tab-delimited file for a map from the web server by accessing a certain URL. Then allowing the edited file to be imported by POSTing to another URL.

3 - RFC1406 MIB support, for monitoring equipment with CSU/DSU's. This is tied to number one.

4 - A lot more flexibility in customizing web pages. Right now you can just "wrap" the existing pages in your own shell. You can't modify the actual content that's being displayed.

5 - Improved IM Remote editing. When editing maps in Remote things often disappear or don't draw correctly. Usually drawing a selection box around the items causes them to be redrawn - but it is a fair amount of extra work when you're doing a lot of tweaking to a map layout.

6 - The ability to control where a device is added on the map. Right now it's just added in the center of the current window. Adding it at the last point clicked on the map before choosing add device could be a solution.

7 - Lots of small UI improvements in Remote. Mostly related to the keyboard. Hitting enter in a lot of dialog boxes doesn't choose the OK button, likewise you can't move the default button focus from button to button. Choosing items from pull-downs with arrow keys gets stuck at the first divider - like in the probes pull-down.

8 - One final tiny item. The map image shown via the web server appears to be about 25% larger than the one shown in Remote when it's set to 100% zoom level.

That about covers it, I think... :-)
