Hi Will,

Yes, you will have to add a probe for each service you would like to monitor.

I normally make a 'base' probe with SNMP to get basic UP/Down + interface details. If supported, one of the HR MIB probes (HR, OS X Server etc..) and then small icons for other services.

If it's a really complex server, you could add a 'sub-map' with all the service probes on it, and then a map-probe to your overview map.

Hope it helps...

PS: I have a request filed to be able to expand/compine probes like the HR MIB probe with custom probes, but it's not possible yet. But if needed you can extent the HR MIB probe... wink-wink..

Best,

Forgive me if I'm dense or missing something obvious in the docs, but
what do folks do if they want to probe multiple services on a given
machine? Do you have to have a separate box for each probe?

For instance, if I have a mail server, I might want to monitor network
traffic stats, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, possibly the SSL versions of these
services, etc. Is there a way to combine these probes within a single
target device?
