On which platforms? I have not seen this on new IOS for the 4506, 2811. I'm getting a 6500 soon - so I'll see there.... and now that you mention it I will look again.
Cisco is being forced to use lldp as non-cisco VoIP phones don't do cdp. It was supposed to be here this summer. But I haven't noticed it yet. However, if you're not using voice you might not see it.
