-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 My two cents here.
We currently have several IM server instances across different platforms. Since some of them are for different "Networks" they don't all run the same version of IM server. I would prefer the IM Remote client stay separate to reduce compatibility problems. I understand the need for major version incompatibilities, but having the server auto-install would be a headache for us. I'd be okay if there were an option that one could turn off/on per server. /Ryan On 11/30/2009 03:01 PM, Christopher Sweeney wrote: > Michael Graziano wrote: >> >> On Nov 25, 2009, at 12:14 PM, Manickaraja Arumugam wrote: >> >>> If you integrate the IM RA client Exe file into the server somebody >>> trying to authenticate the server with lower version they will get >>> notified windows that there is new client version available on the >>> server please download and install the same before connecting the MAPs. >> >> This is an interesting idea if it could happen in a space-efficient >> manner -- my concern is that at least in my environment the IM server is >> not the same platform as the RA clients (the server is FreeBSD, our >> workstations are all Macs).
