Hi Daniel - A possible workaround for you -- version 5.2 (in beta) includes a new 'Acknowledge' API. So you might be able write a notifier script, which is fired off immediately, and calls does the ACK programmatically.
This may be a little difficult to do without knowing the Device ID, but I just talked to Bill from Dartware about this, so he might be able to share some advice here.
