Hi Nick,

I ended up putting a Mac Mini in place on the LAN and routed the internet 
connection through a hub with the mac mini, and I am using a third-party tool 
to capture the traffic going into and out of the lan and then forwarding it my 
remote server running IMFlows.

There are a number of options for the tools: I've purchased nProbe, and Richard 
E Brown recommended this: 
http://www.proquesys.com/corporate/products/flowexporter/

It works very well.
