That old tool was pretty hard to use - it required you to know everything about the device, the important OIDs (not even the names) and a ton about how to make InterMapper probes. Plus it was a Mac-only program. The new tool is much easier. First off, it's a web page, so it's automatically cross-platform. You simply paste in the MIB, and get a probe out. As Randy Baker notes, you get *all* the MIB variables, and so have to pick and choose the ones that are interesting, but that's a matter of cutting out the lines/variables you don't want from the probe file.
