I am in the process of building quite a few new maps that will give us specific views into the network. I am running into some challenges though.
1: I would like to add a label/smart label to a link. I would like to create my maps to look similar to the following example by including the link speed, current throughput, thresholds, colored link and ants. netstat.ayy.fi/weathermap/<http://netstat.ayy.fi/weathermap/> 2: To date, most of my maps are top down, I am able to drill down into other maps. So if a device in closet A goes down, the closet map goes into alarm, which puts a building in alarm, which puts a campus in alarm. I can click on the campus indicating a problem and drill down to the building and closet maps. However, the maps I am now creating are bi-directional in that Map A has a map status icon for Map X, Y & Z, and Maps X, Y & Z have a Map status icon for Map A. If a device in Map X fails, all map statuses go into alarm because they are linked. It would be nice to be able to create a map icon hierarchy where alerts go up but not down. So if a device in Map A fails, map A goes into alarm, but not maps X, Y & Z. But if a device goes into alarm on map Y, map A should also go into alarm, but not maps X & Z.
