I guess I fall into that list…

We've been shoving data into IMDC for over a year now. I've almost never
gotten the reports front end to work so that I can see anything. Our data set
is very large, even though we don't show the end station interfaces just the
interconnects, that it takes so long just to populate the popup menus I always
give up. This was just a "hey, can we make use of this" project for us, so I
don't have a lot of cycles to spend on it. There's only been a handful of
times I've gotten it to show me any data, much less useful data, even when I
leave it running in the background for over an hour. normally I have to limit
it to one or two interfaces, when I have time to wait for the interface lists
to show up.

I just upgraded from 5.4 to 5.5 last week, and I like the new reports starting
interface better, but you can't put limits on queries. I'd love to choose
"%errors" and say anything reporting more than 10% errors, so instead of giving
me a list of all my "clean" interfaces, I get just the ones I need to work on
(and that's a lot smaller output to display). Instead of choosing %
utilization, being able to say anything with over 80% utilization in the last
week so I get the ones that we need to evaluate for upgrades. The filters
button doesn't show up on the data select page, only at the bottom of the
display the report page, so I can't pre-filter what I'm trying to see.

I'm sure it's possible to write SQL for that, but one of the things our group
doesn't currently have is an SQL expert, and what little we do have is in mySQL
and Oracle.

so I guess this is kind-of a feature/help request. being able to use the data
for problem trends that we don't always catch on the maps themselves because
they are too transient to trigger a notifier, or just below a threshold.
