Nope, it does not.
$ cat m.c
void *p(void) __attribute_malloc__;
$ gcc -c m.c
m.c:1: parse error before `__attribute_malloc__'
m.c:1: warning: data definition has no type or storage class
$ gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/2.95.3/specs
gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
The same happens with the latest RedHat GCC 2.96-113.
