i thought it was amazingly solid. i've been a fan of a lot of beat-centric electronic music since the late 80's, and have heard a lot of guitar-band remix efforts that came out crap, but the 'submarine' disc is really well done, with a nice broad range of styles... i had been wanting to hear alison's voice drifting over a good jungle beat for years, even started a remix of my own at one point, so it was a great relief when the submarine ep didn't suck. i noticed the sound is really very clean, too, as i cranked it up on my shitty factory car stereo and the bass still sounded fine. plus i worship at the rythmic altar of jack dangers, so his mix was an added bonus. the sparkly dimitri tikovoi mix is pure ear candy, and might be my favorite.
