Hey Brad (and Vincent).

From all appearances, I'm the guy getting these digital versions stitched together into pretty DVDs.  I'd love to get a hold of all of these to add to the collection.  Please keep me in the loop as to when/where these are uploaded - and let me know if I can be a help in converting them or any needs you might have.  Thanks for popping in and offering to help with this, by the way!

Vincent,
I have decent quality copies of:
Everywhere (from NTSC u-matic promo), audio sync is a bit funny, good
in some places, off in others, but the video is like that.. :) It
appears to be telecined from PAL, I tried to fix but didn't have much
luck, otherwise quite enjoyable

Jewel (from NTSC u-matic promo), there is a slight glitch near the
middle when my first u-matic deck ate the tape (argh!).. I edited out
the sparkles and theres a few slight audio dropouts there..

I also have Shining Road from the 1997 Cranes Much Music special,
recorded onto a S-VHS deck from DirecTV satellite. TDK tape at high
speed, so hopefully still excellent quality . I'm trying to locate the
tape and will convert both the whole special and the video.

The format is 704x480x29.97 fps 8000 kbps 384 kpbs audio mpeg-2, and
should be good to use for a dvd without any reconversion. I'm using a
Matrox G-400-TV for conversion with Virtualdub + Huffyuv +
smartdeinterlace with a touch of temporal noise reduction, and the
Tsunami encoder.

I also have a tweaked copy of Fuse in LAME max quality stereo VBR MP3.
I fixed the levels mismatch between songs and did separate parametric
eq on each track (original sounds like it's a master for vinyl.. very
screechy). I also tweaked the azimuth on my Onkyo 3 head deck for the
tape and calibrated the speed with a nortronics calibration tape and
frequency counter. I think it's much more listenable than the
original. :)

If you email me a login (ftp if possible) I can upload them. It's
about 340 MB total so far.
