This looks like a broken configuration for me. Does this still happen if you a) apt-get --reinstall install ion3 and b) move your ~/.ion3 somewhere else? > I can then type in commands for say F3 or others. I hit enter and it > locks up. I'm no programer and have fidled around with out success. Could you provide an strace log? Btw... as noticed before, please use reportbug next time so your bugreports gets to the Debian BTS. Norbert
