I've been using Ion3 for months and it has never crashed on me (to my
knowledge).  I love that it (a) gets out of my way and (b) follows ICCCM
and (c) has a resident set size around 2 megs (and I'm pretty sure
that's trimmable).  So chalk another recommendation from me (for ion in
general and ion3 as far as stability goes).
