Oh, I didn't mean to start a language war here ;) Matthias' mail sounds quite reasonable to me. My opinion what ion should be, or better what ion should *stay*: a small, fast, stable window manager, which cooperates perfectly with my way of thinking. ion is exactly this right now. When I've got some more free time, I will consider experimenting with ion and C++ - I think many people here would be interested in the results - memory footprint, overall bloat, new look of the source code. But that's only an experiment, I hope to learn from it. max
