I don't see what's wrong with this and a few #defines to cater for pre XF86 4.X users (are there any? Is there really anyone here who doesn't have "RENDER" in their xdpyinfo?). Since the new version is going to support xrandr anyway, the only hit is in performance, but exactly how often does the text in an ion border have to be rendered? Even on a 486, it wouldn't really make ion unusable. Presently, the only thing on my desktop with ugly text is ion :-) > - write a de module that uses gtk/gdk what about fltk?
