I've not yet played with MoinMoin, though I'd like to one day... that's
an aside. 

I run several wiki's - all using UseMod. It's a horribly big perl
script, but wikispam prevention is relatively easy - login with any
username, and an advertised password (editor pass).

The other possibly nice thing about UseMod is that it's what Wikipedia
originally used - so there is a clear and known upgrade path from
UseMod to MediaWiki if future needs require that. (OTOH, the only reason
I still use UseMod is because no other wiki system impresses me enough
to port my site, and I've not gotten around to writing my own yet...
