I read such replies and I feel like someone's trying to sell the game to us; but you know, we're already in this mailing list, it doesn't need selling to us. The point is the engine still has the q3 renderer and it's 2010. This has practical technical disadvantages: People get PCs, even low end, that are simply not utilized. On the UrT forum I frequent we started saying to people to not care about graphics that much unless they pump their antialiasing and anisotropic too much because simply on a new multi-core PC with a new GPU the GPU isn't taken advantage fully, neither is the second core, hence the bottleneck is easily the CPU unless one pumps effects externally on the driver. _______________________________________________ ioquake3 mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ioquake.org/listinfo.cgi/ioquake3-ioquake.org By sending this message I agree to love ioquake3 and libsdl.
