I'm not familiar with DITA. The API documentation should remain in Doxygen 
since that's fairly well-known and I don't think we should change that.

As for the main website, we could argue whether Drupal is the best solution. 
One initiative we had but did not come to fruition was to write the 
documentation in ReStructured Text (RST), edit it in Git/Gerrit like the main 
sources, and simply upload the generated HTML. Zephyr Project does that.

Same for RST. And the source looks like text. Isn't Dita XML?
