Thanks very much for your prompt response, My name is 李海峰(Haifeng Li) from

I have this requirement due to I hope to test a network appliance by various of
bandwidth, jusk like 10mbps, 100mbps, 500mpbs pass through it, and observe the
system/network performance.

Haifeng

  Hi,

first the answer: there's no such thing as -b for TCP as far as I know. I may
be wrong though.

Out of curiosity: why would you want to test network performance using TCP
and with limited requirement for bandwidth? Not that this kind of testing is
ilegitimate ...

BTW, it's great name (Haifeng) you've got ...

    Hi All,

I'm learning about iperf recently, and I very interested in it.

But I have a question, maybe funny :-), I hope to test network performance
as a fixed value with tcp, just like "-b" option on udp. Is there any options
for tcp like it.

    Thanks and regards,
    Haifeng
