Check it out... while I realize this group is focused on webdev
strategies for the iPhone (++!), I thought I'd let you know that a
native app installer has been released:

http://iphone.nullriver.com/beta/

I've seen some folks using a more direct method to get this installer
to work on their iPhone, but this is finally a GUI version.

With this, I'm most interested in seeing web apps developed that run
in Safari (maybe you could build an app using the nightly webkit
rendering engine with SVG support!) but have a homescreen icon -- for
example, simply wrap the Facebook iPhone app URL in a native app
wrapper, give it an icon and voila -- it's on your homescreen!

This is similar to the WebKit apps I've been building for a while:

http://webkit.pbwiki.com

Anyway, enjoy.

Chris
