Thanks, interesting article. I'm constantly amazed at how Apple is able to wave their hands around and get away with murder. The only reason for raising the spectre of security for third party apps, is if they come from unknown companies. (The real attack vectors will come from Safari code blunders, not third party apps.) So there was NO REASON ever for Apple to prevent companies like Skype, Slingbox, Adobe, medical companies, you-name-it, from developing iPhone apps. Apple clearly just didn't want native third party apps at all.
