I too would think the VPN tunnel would preclude the use of the NAT settings, however I experienced communication problems when I VPN'd into my network using PPTP (client-to-router). I was unable to message or see anyone's status until I hacked the (client) registry setting for "client uses NAT". Now all is well.

I can chat with users on the inside fo the firewall fine, but some times when I am chatting with outside users I get the following error message. <<Failed to forward message to <user@???.com>. Failed to connect to <IP number> on port 5177.>> Has anyone seen this before? _________________________ Drew Gainor To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/ipswitchim_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/Instant_Messenger/index.asp -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This email is the property of NACA and/or its relevant affiliate and may contain confidential and privileged material for the sole use of the intended recipient(s).
