CFWB-1490 Campbell Rive BC has applied to the CRTC to move to FM (106.1 MHz, 663 watts, 409 metres):
<http://www.crtc.gc.ca/archive/ENG/Hearings/2007/n2007-6.htm#10> Campbell River, British Columbia Application No. 2007-0088-2 Application by Vista Radio Ltd. to convert radio station CFWB Campbell River from the AM band to the FM band. The new station would operate on frequency 106.1 MHz (channel 291B) with an average effective radiated power of 663 watts (maximum effective radiated power of 5,000 watts/antenna height of 409 metres). The new FM station would continue to operate the CJGR-FM Gold River transmitter under the presently authorized technical parameters. The proposed station would maintain its current country music format and the focus it places on local programming. The applicant is requesting permission to simulcast the programming of the new FM station on CFWB for a period of 3 months from the date of implementation of the new FM station.
