Hi Tom, it is a super 2, and I know something is dirty in there because when I tune the dial, it started off on fm, then spread to A M, and now, when I tune especially around where k g o is, it makes an awful noise when I'm trying to tune. I've never taken a radio apart, that's why I want somebody to help me. On Fri, 31 Aug 2007 00:11:41 +0000, Tom L Jones wrote:
Marty Are you sure its an SR 2 Not an SR-3 ?? SR-! & 2 have tuning caps that shouldnt get dirty but SR3 uses a pot that does. If you dont find a local let me know & I will pull mine apart & give you a step by step. Not at all tricky to do. Just let me know which one you have, I got all 3 of em & I have to clean my SR3 again anyways.. 73 Tom Jones Mason N.H. _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com
