For the record, I checked a few other Alaskan freqs
620 was mostly CKRM with KPOJ in the background
780 had easy listening music that was likely KNOM, and certainly not
KKOH unless it's changed format
850 was mostly KOA o/KHHO (in all cases I was on the northwest lobe of
the K9AY)
I've been having trouble hearing JOUB lately but I'm much closer to
KTTH-770. The opposite seems to be true for JOAB-693 - it's much easier
for me since you guys are closer to CBU. Plus I'm in CBUs null and
you're in their main lobe (or close to it).

I'm still not hearing the TPs nearly as well as John. This morning's SDR
recordings showed promise for the season, but nothing worth getting excited
about just yet.
Really good audio: KFQD-750 obliterating KXL at 1216, they had a help wanted ad
for the Anchorage Media Group sales dept in case anyone's interested
Somewhat OK audio: KENI-650, legal ID & ABC news mixing with CISL at 1200
A few snippets of audio at times 594, 693, 747, 774 (first appearance of the
season!), 828, 972, 1566, 1575
Carriers, mostly weak, mostly short duration: 648, 837, 846, 864, 918, 936,
1035, 1206, 1475

Bruce, thanks for reminding me not to forget about the Alaskans. Sure enough
at 13:00, KFQD is totally dominating 750 at excellent strength. I didn't hear
anything except CISL on 650, but 850 has Nome at good strength (first of the
season that I've heard them). I'm sure there are plenty more Alaskans to hear
as well. As far as TPs, definitely down compared to yesterday which was simply
excellent. Both 1575 and 1566 there, but a bit weaker. 774 NHK2 very strong,
though, just not quite at local level. Haven't had a chance to check anything
else yet. I think I'll have a look for Alaskans first! ...Walt
