Patrick, I have used many of them. The Bose $300 or so are superb (my wife has a pair for flights). I use the Bose Aviation headphones when I fly (I'm a pilot), but their around $1k. The cheap ones are just that....help a bit, but mostly aren't worth much. ....Walt
