You cannot beat the Bose for comfort and sound Patrick, though I prefer the OE2
version myself. I have teacher's HF roll-off I fear, and my hearing is not as
acute as it used to be. Look also though for the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7 -- NOT
the 7B's. Guy Atkins wrote about these and I found a pair in as new condition
on eBay for about $100. Switching on the NC really punches the audio and the
effect is major for me. Later versions are well-received but this particular
model really is special. Not quite as comfortable but great for DX are the
Sennheisser PXC-250's. I had to equip the whole family for a trip to NZ via the
Long Path (Hong Kong) 3 years ago....

I called BestBuy Walt, and they have  pair called  Bose Comfort 15 for
$300 and the are highly rated and claim you can sit next to a crying
baby on a fight and not hear anything. They get a rating of 4.8 ot of 5.
Bose is highly rated I know. $300 is better than putting up with a
racket.  It is the old story, you get what you pay for. Thanks.
