Les:
Don't give up on Excel. Any cell can be a hyperlink with 1 click. FCC info can 
be saved as a csv file and directly imported into Excel. I'm not sure what 
"searchable" means to you but would the standard "find" feature of Excel be 
sufficient? Formatting of the FCC info can be done with a simple macro..
Bottom line is that I find Excel very easy to use for logs and versatile also.
