----------------------------------------------------------- From: PostpaidPBH Message 16 in Discussion If I have point of line my opponent walks onto my blade not dealing with it at all and for arguments sake it hits his arm with the side of the blade (which is the point that registers). I subsequently may or may not hit him with the point. I don't see this situation ever occuring. Even if your opponent somehow the edge of the blade with his arm before the point lands it is probably going to be indistinguishabe to the president, you'll get the hit. If it IS distinguishable (ie the hit with the point is markedly after the hit with the edge) then I'd say that president could (and probably should) read it as miss with the point and call the remise with the edge. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/IrishFencingForum/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
