Hi.
First off, I should mention that I'm not a coder, and if my ideas are totally
useless and/or a pain to debug, lemme know...
I recently begun theming irssi after a while of downloading and never finding
anything that I liked. I've made a few themes and its making me eat my shoe
soon, the syntax is just such a pain up the ass, especially colors. Before I saw
the light and switched every computer I own to various distributions of
Gnu/Linux and started using irssi, I used that god-awful client called m*rc. I
never liked it, but I liked the way *some script name* enabled an easier way to
theme everything. It was all named really nicely and almost human-readable... So
anyways... here's my ideas;

Colors should be definable, like; black = "#000000" ; white = "#FFFFFF" -- thus,
using hex instead. When using colors, the %black would be the obvious choice of
syntax.

All of these "pubmsgnick", "ownnick" etc, etc really gets to my eyes after a
while.. They could really use a freshening up to make them easier to spot, just
putting a dot in between "own" and "nick" making it "own.nick" would save my
eyes some sheer agony ;)

Again, I'm no coder so I dont know whats doable and whats not, but sure hoping
it is...
