Hello Everyone,
I totally appreciate that this is an incredibly busy time for all of you. However, I was wondering whether any of you were planning to attend the fundraiser me and a couple of others are organizing to raise money for 2 palestinian kids coming to canada for medical treatment. If you are planning to attend (dinner or after dinner) could you please let me or the people listed below know, so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Dear Friends,
On December 27, 2004 we invite you to join us for a social/fundraising event at
Butler’s Pantry restaurant in Toronto (Markham St at Bloor and Bathurst).
Come and support the Canadian Association for Medical Relief’s (CAMR)
initiative to bring two Palestinian children from the West Bank to Toronto’s Hospital for Sick
Children for life-altering surgery.
With your help:
·3-year old Ayham will be the first international patient that Sick Kids
accepts to fund for a cochlear implant surgery giving him the gift of hearing.
·4-year old Omar whose life has been crippled by bladder extrophy making him
susceptible to potentially life threatening infections. Reconstruction surgery
would leave him with a functional urinary tract and a good quality of life that
will include being able to go to school.
Sick Kids Hospital has offered to cover half of the boys’ medical expenses. We
hope this evening will help
to bring attention to the plight of these two boys
and bring CAMR one-step closer to raising the approximately $50,000 needed
through event ticket proceeds.
Dinner tickets are $20 (or $10 to attend without dinner) See attached flyer for details.
